The Same Deserted Sea,
released June 9, 2011
Has anyone else noticed a strengthening of focus on the memories that you believed had gone? If I am not mistaken, the ones that I've awakened seem, to me, much better than they were before. An open letter now, forever more.
I wonder if she ever swims the same deserted sea...and drowns herself with me? I wonder if she ever hears the same sweet thunder roll....hoping she could somehow let the lightning take its toll.
As I recall, awakened by my violently shaking, all the air was taken deeply to her breast. The oxygen now sweetened, ruby lips broke in releasing gentle, sentimental beauty in her breath. The kind that only youth claims to possess.
I heard once this disturbance, floating notes of jealousy. Left unspoken, bent and broken, became the man I hoped to god I would never be.
